boriskodjoe01Name: Boris Frederic Cecil Tay-Natey Ofuatey-Kodjoe
DOB: March 8, 1973 in Vienna Austria
Claim to fame: I would say he gained a lot of attention when he appeared in Showtime’s series “Soul Food” based on the hit movie of the same name. He played Damon, the biracial (Black and White) trilingual (German, French, and Portuguese) blue-collar worker who falls in love with an older woman (played by his future wife Nicole Ari-Parker).

Background: Every since I saw him in TLC’s “Red Light Special” video way back in 1994 (before he started shaving his head), I wanted to know who that handsome man was. Turns out he and his Soul Food character Damon share a somewhat similar background.
Boris was born in Austria, but was raised in the southwestern German state of Baden-Württemberg (specifically Freiburg) to a German mother and a Ghanian father. He is also multilingual as he speaks fluent German, English, French, and Spanish. While attending the Virginia Commonwealth University, he aspired to be a professional tennis player but back ailments unfortunately took him out of the game. Luckily, for fans, this change of events led to his becoming a model and later into acting.

Name: Dwayne Douglas Johnson aka “The Rock”
DOB: May 2, 1972 in Hayward, CA
Claim to fame: Being a wrestling champion within the WWE then later showing his acting chops, and perfect physique/face/smile *sigh*, in movies such as “The Scorpion King”, “Get Smart”, and “Gridiron Gang” to name a few.
Background: His father is Rocky Johnson a well respected and popular Black Canadian professional wrestler. His mother, Ata, is the daughter of Samoan wrestler “High Chief” Peter Maivia and wrestling promoter Ofelia “Lia” Maivia. It apparent Dwayne was bound to become “The People’s Champion” as he has the sport in his blood.

Check him out below playing a pissed-off Hawaiian. Damn, this man is fine! I love when he dances…

Name: Franka Potente
DOB: July 22, 1974 in Münster Germany
Claim to fame: She’s best known for her break through role as the fiery haired protagonist “Lola” in Tom Tykwer’s 1999 hit “Lola rennt” aka “Run Lola Run”. She’s also had supporting roles, usually as the love interest, in American movies such as “Blow” and the “Bourne” franchise.
Background: She is from Germany and of Italian heritage. Her look is different from the typical show business plastic Bratz dolls that, I think, execs are wary to cast her. But she’s a beauty who’s really underrated in Hollywood.

Background: He is Native Hawaiian (who knew?! but I can see it now) and Scottish. (Is it wrong to think someone is hot even though they’re old enough to be your dad? *sigh*)
